<h1>What is an au pair?</h1>An au pair is usually a young person, either female or male, who provides live-in care to the children of a welcoming host family overseas as part of a cultural exchange. You’ll be generously provided with a weekly stipend, your own room in the family home and, typically, two to three meals per day. You may even get the chance to join the family on ski and summer vacations. Being an au pair or nanny abroad gives you the freedom to be more than the average tourist by immersing yourself in a completely new culture and developing valuable life skills. <h1>What is a Tutor?</h1>An international English tutor provides private, live-in mentoring to children of a welcoming host family to help them succeed academically. As an English tutor abroad, your duties vary depending on your destination. In English speaking countries you will be assisting with homework in just about any subject and in non-English speaking countries you'll help the kids learn English whilst taking part in your own cultural exchange! You will be living with your host family in your own private room, be provided with meals plus earn a weekly stipend in most destinations to fund your travels. That paired with only 15-30 hours of tutoring per week means you’ll have plenty of free time and money to completely explore your destination, learn the language and immerse yourself in a new culture.
